About Ackermann Josef
He has been a Board Member of Deutsche Bank since 1996 and its CEO and Chairman of the Executive Committee since May 2002. Along with other major banks the stock price of Deutsche bank rose between 2002 and 2007, however those gains were more than wiped out in the bear markets of the latter half of 2007 and 2008, there has since been some recovery. Josef Ackermann agreed at the end of 2009 to continue as chief executive of Deutsche Bank for another three years till 2013.
